Road Ready Rangatahi Driving School
Youth Inspire’s Road Ready Rangatahi Driving School supports young people aged 16 - 24 across the Hutt Valley to gain their Learner, Restricted and Full driver licences.
Having a licence can open the door to more opportunities - from employment and training to greater independence. Our programme provides guidance, mentoring, and practical driving experience to help rangatahi succeed on their licensing journey.

Learner Licence
We’ll help you understand the NZ Road Code so you can feel confident sitting your learner licence test.
To be eligible you must:
Be living in the Hutt Valley
Be 16 - 24 years old
Have original identification as per the Waka Kotahi Website
Restricted Licence
Our driving mentors will help you build the skills and experience needed to sit your restricted driving test.
To be eligible you must:
Be living in the Hutt Valley
Be 16 - 24 years old
Have a current NZ learner licence
Be willing to commit to two driving lessons per week (1 hour each)
Have approximately 15-20 hours of driving experience
Full Licence
Getting ready to sit your full licence test but need a bit of extra support? Youth Inspire can help you prepare and build confidence before your test.
To be eligible you must:
Be living in the Hutt Valley
Be 16 - 24 years old
Have a current NZ restricted licence
Be regularly driving
