About the Campaign
At Youth Inspire, we are facing a serious funding shortfall. Over the past year, we have been denied more than $800,000 in public sector funding, that we rely on to operate. As a result, we have no choice but to turn to crowdfunding and philanthropy to keep our services running.
Our pay-it-forward campaign invites supporters to donate $100 - enough to cover the cost of a learner licence test and help a young person take a crucial step toward employment and independence. We have already supported over 1,500 rangatahi to get their licence, and with over 150 rangatahi currently on our waitlist, the demand for accessible driver training continues to grow.
For many rangatahi, gaining a driver licence can open the door to education, employment, and greater opportunities in life. Every donation helps provide professional driving lessons, access to a vehicle, and free licence testing, giving young people the skills, confidence, and support they need to get ahead.
The Driving School has impacted a lot. I was hired straight away for a job once I got my Restricted licence. I was applying for jobs while I was on my Learners and wasn't getting any luck. Now I am able to work and drive my family around all thanks to Youth Inspire.
